Education

I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons.) in Geography from the University of Cambridge. I specialized in human geography which includes urbanization, demographics, and migration. I have a keen interest in climate change and its impacts. I completed my UK A-Levels, achieving an A* in Geography and English, and an A in German. I also completed my UK GCSE Level with 9 A* grades for English literature, English language, history, German, French, Latin, biology, physics, and chemistry, and 1 A grade for maths.

Experience

From 2014 to 2015 I worked as an intern at Magdalen College School in Oxford, UK. This role involved teaching geography to full classes while running small group and individual tutoring sessions. I also previously worked at Oxford International College which specialized in individual tutoring. I also worked as a tutor for holiday revision courses with a particular focus on exam preparation at Oxford Sciences Studies. In addition to this, I worked at Cambridge Blue Academy providing English tuition to visiting Japanese High School students. I have also worked as a volunteer for students with autism and intellectual disabilities for the Mountain Youth Services Team. Finally, I have experience working as a private tutor for individual Year 12 students in Perth, Australia.

Students of geography are often hard pushed to find quality private tutors. I offer not only extensive tutoring experience with a wide variety of age groups, but qualifications from world class institutions, specialising in geography. Educated at Cambridge University in the UK, I have been able to utilise the world class teaching I received in my own tutoring. With an appreciation for the difficulties and distractions of being a young person trying to study, I look to find the best study methods for each individual. A traditional one-size-fits- all approach to teaching often neglects certain students, and as such I work hard to ascertain the best ways of learning for each pupil. I offer geography tuition to all years, including undergraduate level. Hours are flexible and designed to suit the student. Whether looking to iron out a particular aspect of the syllabus, or a more general overview of the subject, I can offer tailored solutions to your needs. I also offer lessons in exam technique and interview preparation, whether school or university entrance exams or preparing for scholarship exams. I am also able to offer English tuition from pre-primary level onwards, including working with students with special educational requirements.
