Hi! My name is Lauren and I am an expat living in Perth, originally from California. I have over 5 years experience as a tutor in SAT and ACT prep, english, writing, and biology. I am especially well versed in SAT prep, including the new changes being implemented in the exam from May 2016. My focus is on explaining the specific quirks and rules of the test, teaching strategies for higher scores, and closing curriculum gaps between Australian and American educations. I have a experience in tutoring those with learning disabilities and those for whom english is a second language, and approach all of my students with a caring and sensitive attitude. I love to make learning engaging and gratifying, teaching skills that help foster future success instead of just focusing on completion. I also have experience assisting with writing grants, proposals, and other extra-curricular writing tasks. I have scored in the top tier of the SATs, including a perfect score on the writing section.
