Education

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BscPsych) from Curtin University. I received a course weighted average (CWA) of 75.19%. Research Methods and Statistics were consistently my high grades. I enjoy quantifying information so it has a greater impact amongst the psychology profession via journal articles etc. I used SPSS, though as most lecturers still use them, I had a manual that was 99% perfect. I also am able to use Excel in business applications. I am now studying my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Social Impact at The University of Western Australia. I am passionate about improving study skills and adaptation to independent learning. I can assist in overcoming procrastination and engaging in strategic study.

Experience

After my undergraduate degree, I went from psychology and spent time in banking. Though I once again returned to psychology and had a 12 month contract with beyondblue while I lived in Melbourne. Returning to Perth, I decided to have a career break. Then I wanted to move away from Project Management in Mental Health, so now I'm studying my MBA. I have also sat the GAMSAT twice to get into medicine, which is my main goal. The first time I didn't study so I could get a baseline. The second I decided my score was not high enough to be competitive for entry. I can say that studying for the GAMSAT and sitting the exam demands and opens up a new way of higher order critical thinking.

Hobbies

Three things made me move back from Melbourne to Perth: the surf; my friends; and, my family. I enjoy just complete pure down time and chilling either by myself or with friends. I also like to go out for coffee, a run around kings park, or helping friends out when I can. Personally, I enjoy reading non-fiction books. There are only a few fiction books that I've ever been able to get into. I like to brainstorm, especially with my whiteboard. Just like some people write journals/diaries, I brainstorm and mind map. Then my favourite activity is playing with my puppy. It's surprising how de-stressing and grounding it is.
