Experience
I have tutored on and off since university and really enjoy it. I am starting again now because I am a stay and home mum and it would fit in well with my schedule. I have just returned from living 6 years in Geneva, Switzerland where I worked at the UN as a GIS Officer and Research Fellow. My work there was in disaster management, GIS, and Remote Sensing and is an excellent background for tutoring year 11 and 12 Geography. In this job I taught courses at masters level in GIS and disaster management. I have 6 years experience with GIS software like ArcGIS and QGIS and a postgrad certificate in geomatics (high distinction equivalent grade), so can tutor in GIS and spatial science to high school and university level. I have studied french for years, including studying in french at the University of Geneva, so can help with high school french. My grades at university were always high distinction and distinction. I got first class honours for my thesis, which was published in an academic journal.
