I began tutoring mathematics and science subjects as a university student in 2002. I worked with students from years 6 to 11. I can help students remain focused and build valuable learning skills through 1-on-1 study sessions that revolve around their individual needs. I have a thorough understanding of different teaching strategies and can tailor my approach to best support my student's personal learning styles. I can lead them through in-depth discussions about fundamental topics to help them fill in learning gaps, as well as provide opportunities for them to practice applying these concepts to different scenarios. I can observe as they work on homework and step in when they have questions or need a demonstration. Students can dictate the specific concepts we study, whether they'd like to spend time working on their multiplication tables or tackling physics problems.
