Education
I earned my undergraduate degree in languages and literature and my graduate degree in translation studies at the University of Rome. I earned a graduate diploma of education from the University of Western Australia.
Experience
I have extensive instructional experience as both a tutor and teacher. I served as an Italian language teacher for students of varying ages and levels and I've also tutored secondary school students in Italian. I've taught at a variety of institutions, including the Multicultural Language Centre at Perth. I currently offer tutoring in all levels of Italian. Working with a professional language tutor as you learn a new language can expedite the language acquisition process. It not only gives you access to someone who can help you master the technical aspects of the language, but it also gives you a dedicated space to practice your expressive (spoken) and receptive (listening) skills with someone who is fluent. Speaking and listening are the two most difficult aspects of any language to master and doing so without feedback is difficult.
