I have been tutoring first-year university on-campus at Murdoch and on-line with Open University of Australia (OUA) for the past 7 years. In April 2012 I was one of four nationwide tutors with OUA to receive the bi-annual Tutor Excellence Award in Melbourne for my work with first-year on-line students in a unit titled 'Introduction to University Learning'(SSK12). Being able to structure, research and reference an academic essay is the cornerstone of university success. I specialize in presenting, one-on-one, a two-hour course that teaches potential university students the requirements of academic essay writing,alerts them to the pitfalls (what not to do), and provides tips for polishing and perfecting their presentation.
