I am currently studying a PhD in Neuropsychology at the University of Western Australia. I have previously completed a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology.
Experience
I am currently a private tutor in psychology and statistics for university students at the University of Western Australia. I am also an education instructor working at Kumon Floreat Centre. I am experienced in working with a wide variety of individual learning styles, which I accommodate for using flexible and personalised teaching methods. When it comes to learning new topics, I break down complex information using a step-by-step method. I walk students through concepts with the aid of visuals such as hand-drawn diagrams and figures. I also provide individual study sheets that summarise each of our sessions. My experience with young children has taught me that they need to be approached with a lot of patience and have plenty of encouragement. Through my background in psychology I learned that a child's development is very important, especially in their earlier years. I am very passionate about nurturing growth and development through teaching.
