Blake L.
Private tutor in Perth, Australia
Education
I have a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology and neuroscience, as well as a Bachelor of Psychology degree with First Class Honours from Curtin University in Western Australia.
Experience
I know first-hand how difficult it can be to learn and understand psychological theories, statistics, and SPSS in undergraduate psychology units because I have been in your position before, but I am now here to help! At the moment, I am a postdoctoral research fellow and I have several years of experience working as a unit coordinator, lecturer, and tutor of various undergraduate psychology units. I have previously held the role of unit coordinator and lecturer at Murdoch University for units including Advanced Quantitative Research Methods, which is a 3rd-year unit, T-test, ANOVA, ANCOVA, MANOVA, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Multiple Linear Regression, Generalised Linear Mixed Models (GLMMs), Mann-Whitney U Test, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, Kruskal-Wallis One-Way ANOVA, and the Friedman's Rank Test. As an undergraduate tutor at Curtin University the units I tutored included the 1st year unit Science and Professional Practice in Psychology, the 2nd year units Psychological Science and Experimental Methods and Perception, and a 3rd year unit Individual Differences. In addition to all of this, I also provide specialized tutoring assistance with academic writing for students with English as a second language, as well as research methods associated with systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and randomized controlled trials. I am also available for help with exam preparation, assignments, and Honours or Ph.D. theses, and I have extensive experience in academic English and scientific writing.
