I am currently studying in my final year of Post Graduate Medicine, Doctor of Medicine (MD), at the University of Western Australia (UWA). I have previously completed a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) at UWA graduating in 2013 with a GPA of 6.3. I completed units in Pharmacology, Genetics, Maths, Chemistry, Psychology, Molecular Biology of the Cell, Anatomy & Human Reproduction.
Experience
I have 3 years of previous tutoring experience in the fields of Maths and Science (Chemistry & Physics) for students ranging from Year 8 through to Year 11. I choose to tutor because I not only enjoy teaching students but also observing how their confidence develops in areas where they may not have had any previous interest before. It's rare to find a student who enjoys a subject they find difficult. My job is to make it more enjoyable for the student by making it easier to learn and hence build their motivation for the subject and resultantly their confidence. I find that many students simply need encouragement and one-on-one time in these areas, however not all classrooms are able to accommodate this given the time constraints these days for teachers. Hence the relevance of tutoring. I graduated Year 12 in 2010 from Sacred Heart College. I was Head Girl of my year group and was awarded Dux of the College, finishing with an ATAR score of 99.3. I completed 6 WACE subjects for my ATAR exams; Maths Specialist 3C/D, Maths General 3C/D, Physics 3A/B, Chemistry 3A/B, English Literature, and Religion.

Hobbies
I previously participated in the competitive dance sport of Calisthenics for 17 years, representing the State in 2002, and 2008. Nowadays I play social sports like beach netball, basketball and regularly go jogging. I enjoy the beach, spending time with family and catching up with friends. I have recently travelled to the UK for a short time for further hospital experience in the field of Obstetrics ad Gynaecology. I have also travelled to Vietnam on Mission trip twice. If your child has any interests in Medicine as a future profession, I would be very happy to help guide them towards this goal also.
