Education

I have a Bachelor of Psychology from James Cook University, and am completing my Masters Degree in Counselling at Murdoch University. I am able to tutor varied level of English and German, as well as tutor many IB subjects, such as Psychology, Anthropology, Literature subjects and help with Public Speaking.

Experience

I have a BPsych, and have tutored primary school students with reading and writing during my previous studies and secondary students, with a focus on essay-writing, as well as German as a second language. I love teaching in general, and I'm joining the mental health area so that I can help people, and hopefully one day become a lecturer myself. I value the experience I gain from tutoring, as it enables me to improve my teaching abilities. There is no greater joy than that "AHA!" moment you notice once a student understands a complicated concept.

Hobbies

I go horse-back riding in my spare time and I read a lot of historical novels, classic literature and fantasy books (Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc.). I enjoy painting, as it's a relaxing hobby for me, and I exercise every day. I'm either at the gym or going for a run in the mornings, depending on my day's schedule. Being an athlete has made me knowledgeable about diet, nutrition and exercise as a whole, and what we can do in small ways to improve our health in big ways.
